Well i went on and did something stupid so ill explain my stupid so that no one else does something stupid like me. I wanted to program the pcm just a bit, minor tweaks to get the truck running as i wanted to. The stupid part was that i shoulve closed the door because it drops the voltage just enough to end up with a bricked pcm.

the moral of this story is make sure you close the door when reprogram the pcm to save a couple of hundred dollars and a few gray hairs

Oh man, my truck won't start after I program the PCM, I ended up erasing the program and reprogramming it all over again. Everything went well after that.

Sorry to hear that. I see it's be over 2 months, did you manage to soft things out or you're still looking for a solution?

Sorry and thanks for the heads up. Leaving the door open during PCM programming can drop voltage just enough to brick it, sheesh. Definitely close the door next time to avoid costly repairs and stress. Lesson learned the hard way my friend.

Yeah, that's like what happened to my cousin. He tried to reflash his Ram in the dead of winter, but he had a space heater plugged into the same outlet. The power dipped, and everything went haywire.
